| I had a very domestic weekend. I spend 45 dollars on the proper equipment so I could bake cookies, but it was worth it because they turned out really well. Chris and I also hosted the cast party for the show he was in. Hooray Beer! The game of the night was to work in how much we hate Anthony Morrelli in any given conversation. Sunday, we had an Eagles party at our apartment too. I made taco pie and we tried to finish the beer from the cast party. Having two parties and Chris's mom coming to visit also meant I cleaned a lot this weekend. Blah but it is nice the place is clean for once. Surprisingly, I didn't mind all the cooking I did either. I used to hate to cook, but I don't mind it that much anymore. Maybe because I'm getting better at it. Today a bunch of us are going shopping, so we can get Chris new clothes, and I need to buy a dress for my cousin's wedding. | | |
| SO the sweetest day of work ever deserves a xanga post. Thanks to Ernesto pretty much no one showed up to the park, but the park never closes and we were stuck working. I think we had about 20 customers all day. In between said 20 customers we had to keep ourselves entertained. So we did the following. Pillaged food from other restaurants, played hide and seek, went on the Great bear (brown tag approved), ate more food, played baseball with a broom handle and a tinfoil ball, made a slip and slide, cleaned up said slip and slide, punked Sean, went on the Flying Falcon, took hot chocolate to the freezing ride operators running Flying Falcon, ate some more, finally did some work and closed the restaurant. Sweet Life. Even sweeter life I go back to Penn State tomorrow. I am Pumped | | |
| So much has happened since my last post. I guess I can try to recap my summer in State College. First of all I learned so much about teaching art. It was a lot more fun than I expected. The most frustrating part was definitely my boss and not the kids. Most of the kids were great, and even the annoying/misbehaved ones still had redeeming qualities like being hiliarious. I think my favorite kid of the summer was Austin. He was an annoying little brat, but he would bring in what I can only assume is half of his toys to play with during break. He also gave me my second favorite quote of the summer, "you aren't the boss of me." Thankfully he never used that on me and only on other students, such as Matthew, who was a joy all of his own. NEVER HOMESCHOOL YOUR CHILDREN, is the lesson I learned from Matthew. I had lots of other interesting kids, but I won't bore you with them all. I think that it was definitely a good experience that will help be a better teacher and hopefully help me get a teaching job someday. On the other hand, I don't think I would have gotten throug it without Chris. If he hadn't been there for me every night when I got home to calm me down from my boss's idiocy, I would have gone insane. I learned a lot about just living this summer. First time I had to actually feed myself everynight and not rely on commons food. It was really nice having a car up here. I will miss having it in the fall. State College is pretty boring, but there are lots of cool state parks just outside of town. Lots of weekends spent swimming in the frigid lakes and hiking. I was also able to do stuff like visit friends. I kinda wish I had kept up with updating this because now I don't feel like typing out all the cool stuff I did. Oh well. If you really want to know just talk to me!

| So I am all moved into my wonderful apartment in state college. My 5 random roommates are pretty nice. Not that I'm around that much to talk to them. I've been busy running around trying to get my summer camps together. It has been fun though. Chris and I have been playing our weekend trips, which I'm looking forward to. We are just going over to Holidaysburg this weekend to see his friends. And Sunday a bunch of people are going climbing. I'm pumped. | | |
